This website contains information about the Council of Governors and the MD Officers. We process "personal data" and/or "special category data" (as defined in data protection legislation) as part of the membership services and/or in our administration involved in the running of the Council and its supporting officers. All data are held securely and for as long as they relate to the reasons for collection and/or if there is a statutory retention period. Security of data and confidentiality are very important to us to protect everyone involved in our services.
Data may be shared with third parties as part of our services, for our administration and/or if we are required by law to do so. We cannot accept any liability for any processing conducted by a third party outside our remit. Similarly, we cannot accept any responsibility for processing by a Lion away from this website or Council duties.
Data are shared with Lions Clubs International "Head Office" ("LCI") in Chicago, USA. We often process data on behalf of UK Lions and we have entered into an international agreement with LCI in order to protect the rights and freedoms of our UK members in accordance with the legislation.
